DavidKINGDavid King of Tunbridge Wells, peacefully signed off on 22 December 2025 after a long life of 97 years and a legacy of kindness, care and a simple, steady way of making people smile. Known for his sense of humour, David spent nearly a century making people feel loved, supported, and frequently helpless with laughter.
He is survived by Patricia, his partner, and Ian & Caroline, his son and daughter-in-law and their families, including grandchildren and great grandchildren, who will forever miss his cheeky spirit, generous heart and his ability to turn life's chaos into a comedy sketch.
A celebration of his life will be held at 1.00 PM on Friday 30 January 2026 at the Kent & Sussex Crematorium (Benhall Mill Road, Royal Tunbridge Wells, Kent, TN2 5JJ), where stories, smiles and laughter are welcome - because that's how David would have wanted it. Please wear colourful clothing, family flowers only and, if desired, donations to Hospice in the Weald.
